In the order that matters.
One scratch, on the front right A-pillar
It is cosmetic. It does not affect the structure, the glass seal or the door fitment, and no other panel carries a mark. But it is a scratch on a car you are buying new, it is now on record with a photograph and a date, and it should be put right at the dealer’s cost before you accept delivery. Ask for it in writing on the delivery note, not a promise to sort it at the first service.
The paint is original everywhere, and consistent
Film thickness across the measured side panels runs 75 to 90 µm, with colour variance matched to 1 to 2 µm on every panel. No panel sits raised above its neighbours, which is what a refinished panel looks like. On a new car this is the check that matters: it confirms nothing was damaged in transit and quietly resprayed before the car reached you.
The rear windscreen date code sits 13 to 24 months off the build
The other panes match the build date within twelve months; the rear screen is further out. On a car with 4 km that is ordinary supply variance: glass is stocked in batches. It is recorded because on a car with mileage the same reading would be worth asking about.
Mechanically and structurally, nothing to report
Engine bay clean, fluids in range, brakes, suspension, steering, underbody, exhaust and fuel lines all sound. Interior, electricals, lighting and transmission fully functional with no warning lamps. The VIN plate and rivets show no tamper signs and every panel fits correctly.
